Sterling Holloway
A Georgia Historic Marker proudly pays tribute to the birth site of one of Cedartown's most famous citizens, the beloved actor, Sterling Holloway. The character behind the quickly recognized Winnie the Pooh voice began his early childhood years right here with his 'neighborhood variety shows' and from there went on to become a highly acclaimed American 'Star'.

Korean Age
When you're born...you're already 1 year old. Then, once January 1st comes around (the new year)...EVERYONE turns one year older. Korean age is not based on birthday, it's based on birth YEAR. Therefore, depending on what the current date is and what month your birthday is, you are always either 1 or 2 years older in Korea than you actually are.

Children making "Songphyun"
The celebration starts with a family get-together at which rice cakes called "Songphyun" are served. These special rice cakes are made of rice, beans, sesame seeds, and chestnuts. Then the family pays respect to ancestors by visiting their tombs and offering them rice and fruits. In the evening, children wear their favorite hanbok
